It's a boy, it's a boy, it's a BOY! We could not be more thrilled. I'm excited for toycars to fill my purse along with Cherios and... well lord knows what else we'll find in there. I can't wait to start picking out bedding and nursery decorations and little tiny shoes. ughh those just kill me.
Speaking of picking things out... Jake and I are in the process of house hunting. YAY! We've been looking for a couple months now, but have finally gotten all of the bank stuff figured out and we actually walked through a few today. It's definitely a process, I know nothing about it and it stresses me out a bit, but it's fun. I can't wait to have something that is OURS. Where I can paint and put as many tac holes in the wall as I WANT to. Rentals have dumb rules... and fees for just about everything. aaaand weird neighbors and that are wayyy to close for comfort.
ANyway baby boy is healthy and active...I feel him all the time. I'm gettin HUGE and fast... yikes. Trying not to grow too fast but I'm starving.
This week I'm 23 weeks and Babe is the size of a papaya.
Here's us.. we're just stoked to have just heard the news.
Any my sweet mom who is just thrilled to be having another grandson! One more little tornado to tear through her house :) only kidding mom. I'll clean up after mine.
And finally here's the proof.... the "something" there that we found
... I'll post a picture of my big fat self soon :)

Tomorrow just won't come fast enough.
We were supposed to find out today what exactly we're expecting in June. But OF COURSE I got a phone call last week that said my Dr. had a surgery scheduled for today so we would have to push it back one day. No big deal right? WRONG. big deal. I couldn't sleep last night because I just cannot wait any longer to just know! All day I find myself looking at little bows and sweet little outfits (online) and then I have to look at little tiny Nike tennis shoes and mini Boise State Jerseys. I have changed my mind every week as to what I think it is. My mom is usually on the same page as I am and changes her mind just as often. Jake though has stood firm with his thinking that we are expecting a precious baby boy. He would just LOVE to see something there tomorrow. But then I think about him with a little girl and maybe he won't admit it yet, but I know he's just going to melt when he sees his little girl, and he'll play Barbies and ponies and let her do his hair. If we are having a girl and she's anything like me when I was little, then she's going to be under the car with dad changing the oil... loving anything and everything dirty.
What's comforting for me though is that I'm far enough along now that there really shouldn't any mistake... things should be pretty visible. So let's just hope that a certain someone isn't feeling shy tomorrow.
Mom, Jake and I are going to head to our apt at noon. Jake's parents are in Mexico for the week so what we did was send them with 2 little boxes wrapped the same, but numbered box #1 and box #2. When we get the news, Jake is going to call and tell them to open a certain box. One of them has little tiny Pink Mini mouse socks, and the other has cute blue Mickey Socks. Then I put a silly little poem that I stuck in each. They were super bummed that they were going to be gone and weren't able to go with us to the ultra sound so we thought that this would still be something kinda fun for them.
TOMORROW! What will it be, what will it be?
(If we are having a girl, these might just be my first girly purchase. SO PRECIOUS)

Who doesn't love the imagination of a child? I sure do.
A friend from work showed me this one and I about died. It makes me so excited to have silly kids of my own.... someday.
Ready to cry?
This is an audition from this season of American Idol. I watched it a couple weeks ago and can't get it out of my head. This man... truly is a man. When I watched this the first time, I balled. Same with the second and third time. Chris Medina is his name. He's so talented and just has a heart of gold. Seriously gives me chills.
Here ya go, have a good cry.
And Steven Tyler??? Bless his heart he's so sweeeet!!!!!!!

Birthday girl is 21 and in DC
Another adventure that I skipped was my birthday which was on December 18th. Jake surprised me with a trip to see Miami Heat (Lebron James, my boyfriend) play the Wizards in Washington DC. We left on my birthday which was a Saturday, super early in the morning. We arrived in Maryland and rented a car to take to DC. Traffic was NUTS, plus our plane was late so we didn't have as much time before the game as we had planned. Actually, we had no time at all. I got ready in the car and we went straight to the game. It was awesome. The Heat won (duh) in overtime by just 1 point. Great game.
The next day we spent just touring the city.
There was this guy in the corner who was eating a 12 LB BURGER! The hamburger patty itself was something like 9 lbs, and the rest was a giant bun. It was disgusting. He was listening to techno music and just going to town on this thing. Demolishing it. And he wasn't even a big guy. Probably 185, 190 pounds is all he wieghed... and somehow he got through this thing. The deal was if he ate the entire thing before the buzzer at the end of the game, everyone in the stands could take their ticket stub and get a free burger and some local place. He sure did it and was happy as could be after. It was seriously amazing, although I did want to puke everytime they put him eating on the jumbo screen.
See what I mean?
Another super funny thing was the dance contest that they would do on timeouts and in between quarters. Lots of little kids getting in the isle and bustin' a move as well as plenty of drunk fat guys, but one stood out to us above all the others and he ended up winning the whole thing.
Good for you old man. Looks like you still have moves :)
