A weekend away

I was in a funk a couple weeks ago. Cooped up a bit and just itching to leave the house for a night and go somewhere... anywhere.

So we packed up for a night and headed to the mountains with a couple of our favorite people.

It was a wee bit cold so we decided that we wouldn't try and keep a tent warm enough for the baby. Austin and Karalee found these adorable little cabins. 2 double beds and a little kitchenette. The best part was the hotsprings and Brody loved what he thought was a giant bathtub. It was perfect and we had a wonderful time.

Crafty Moment

We once had a hole above our fire place. A big hole that is supposed to hold a TV or something. I didn't dig it. It was awkward. I tried to make it look more like a shelf, but it was still just a big ugly hole.

This is our living room before we moved in. There it is... the hole.

I Fixed it!

TA DA!

This mirror was originally frame less. It was our guest bathroom mirror. I put a nicer mirror in the bathroom, painted and glued door moulding to this one and I think the final product turned out pretty dang cool.

No more awkward hole.. and a cheap mirror. Woo hoo!

Progress Report.

Brody is 15 weeks old. Tall. Not very chunky yet.

Tummy time is now a breeze. He holds his head up like a rockstar.

He loves LOVES his bouncer. Last week his feet didn't touch the floor, we had to put a pillow under him. This week THEY TOUCH! What the heck.

He loves anything with lights and music. That will keep him entertained for a good five minutes, which with that boy, is forever.

He rolls over like a crazy man. He first rolled from his back to his tummy a couple weeks ago. Once he got to his tummy he would get frustrated and cry. Now he can't be anywhere but the floor because he's a little steam roller.

He loves getting ready with me in the morning. I stick him in his Bumbo and on our bathroom counter and he just laughs and smiles at me as I go about my routine. I love the company.

He has full on conversations with us. In his own language. I could listen to him talk all day.

Here's a TMI for ya.. His new thing is to not poop everyday, but every other day. And when he does, it's a DISASTER. Up the back, out the sides, just a crazy mess. Yes I've upped his diaper size... doesn't help.

Because of his disaster poops, we started bathing twice a day. He loves baths so much that it's worth it even when he isn't that stinky. I love to watch him splash. He soaks me every time.

He giggles! finally the boy actually laughs.. and he's just full of them first thing in the morning. It's a nice way for me to perk up when I'm moving slow :)

This boy absolutely melts my heart. I am so incredibly lucky that my man, my big man, works so hard so that I don't have to. I get to stay home and enjoy our son. I love both my boys.

Silly Boy

This is a good month old, but a cute moment I actually caught on camera! YES. Love when that happens.

Celebrate Good Times. C'mon!

Brody and I tagged along with my great friend KaraLee and the women in her life, and we walked (fast) and strolled the 5K in downtown Boise. We had a blast. It was my very first time, which is a shame because it's gone on here for years. I'm thinking something like 12 thousand women walked, ran or strolled this thing. I have never seen so many people in one place, and for such a neat cause. There were babies and grandmas and everyone in between. I saw a few boys, but little Brody was pretty out numbered. He did great. Slept the whole time!

Brody's Blessing Day

Such a special day. Jake Blessed Brody at church and did such a beautiful job. Our little man screamed most of the time, but hey it was his day. Afterwords we had family and friends over to our house for Grubbage... which was DELISH!

Check out Brod's little man suit. I just die, I love it so much!
