Progress Report: 8 months!

Time has FLOWN! Brody is such a boy. And that's the best way to describe him! He grunts, and is extremely curious. He spits and has stinky sweaty feet ALL the time. He really is just plain silly. I know at 2 years I am going to have my hands full because he'll be into everything. He just picked up crawling this week, and it's been a long time coming. His motivation... what else, an electrical socket. Awesome. And today he found something, (no clue what it was or where it came from) It was black, and I had to dig it out of his mouth. YAY! ITS BEGINNING!
Now let me tell you about church.. my goodness, there is no being quiet for this little man. If he's not squealing because he's happy, then he's squealing because he's mad... but he's squealing most of the time. More like Shrieking. Jake thinks it's funny, I think it's funny most of the time. Ha.
No Teeth yet. Just lots of chewing and drooling and a few rough nights sleeping.
He sure loves his Mom and Dad. He cries when we aren't in his line of vision, and now follows us when we leave the room. Pretty cute.
And his giggle, oh the sweet little giggle. Jake and I make fools of ourselves to hear it.
His hair is always a topic of conversation. Some people, (a lot of people) tell me I need to cut it. Apparently they don't dig his curly Jew Curls. To all you people who feel this way, I'm sorry I'm not sorry to tell you this but it ain't happeninI I love those curly locks, and Jake and I like longer hair on little boys. His hair is so him. Crazy, messy and so cute... it truly fits his personality.

Remember this Guy? I was in love with him for a long time.

He's a doll and I've always loved his hair... I want Brody to have long hair... that's the end of it.

Even though he's only 8 months, the conversation of when we want our next one has come up in a conversation or 2. My goodness.... Jake and I are so extremely content with just Brody right now, that our next baby isn't even on the tip of our tongues. He keeps me busy, but I'm' not overwhelmed and that's nice. I just want Brody to be able to be a baby for a long time. I want to continue working out and get into good shape. I want to be able to do some of the things I love for a while, that I can't do while I'm Pregnant. We plan on spacing our kids out a bit. My older brother is 5 years older than me and I've never thought anything of it. I won't wait that long, but it will be a couple years. I just turned 22... I've got plenty of time to have babies. So I will take that time.

Here's our Brody over the last few weeks or so... I love this little boy so stinkin much it hurts!

Can You believe how blonde this baby is? He was born with dark, almost black, hair.

Brody's All ready for his first McCall Winter Carnival

He was just loving the parade

Jake's going to kill me. But I've always been curious, so I did it. And now yes, I'm sure he's scarred for life. Ha.. But I can only pray that I have a baby girl with such Bow-worthy hair :)

  1. i cant believe peeps are tellin you to cut it.. (okay i can believe it but still!!) his hair is so cute! And I didn't cut Beck's till he was at laest a year. but even that was just a trim. I love shaggy long hair on boys!! OH if Beck only had the right texture of hair for it!! his is so thick and straight it doesn't lay right.
