This boy loves Christmas.
iphone4S... spoiled boy
I think it's taken me so long to write this post because even thinking about it makes me tired. Christmas was busy this year. Not relaxing at all but that's okay. There was a lot of family in town and a million things going on between both of our families, and Jake, Brody and I got so spoiled this year... we must have been good because Santa showed us Love.
Christmases in the past have been spent waking up early to open gifts, then laying around napping and watching new movies for the rest of the day. And eating, eating, and EATING some more. This year we had a schedule.
We are so grateful though, that those that we love live so close to us, and that we are able to participate in everything on both sides of the family. It's busy, but worth it. I hope next year though, that we are able to spend a little more time just us, at home. I would like to start some of our own traditions. We weren't even able to take a picture in front of our Christmas tree. We took a self timer one just before we took it down.
Once it was all said and done, we went home, locked the doors and seriously didn't even answer our phones for like 3 days. We were exhausted.
For moms, Christmas is always crazy I think. It's expensive madness, but so loved.
My Mom is amazing and gets her shopping done months in advance. She says that she's able to enjoy in more if she knows the gifts are wrapped and ready a good week before the big day. Makes sense to me. I will definitely adopt that philosophy. As our family grows, so will Christmas... and I love Christmas so I plan to do it big.
