The Dark Knight

WE GOT A NEW CAR! and such a cute mom car, it is. For those who didn't have the privilege of knowing our previous vehicle... It was a little on the old side. Like 1998. No air conditioning, no radio, windows didn't roll down, & it pretty much coughed when we started it. Jake LOVED this car though. He bought it in high school and he's refereed to it as his 5th brother ever since. We are the type of people to humanize our cars. My little blue car is Neo and I've had him since high school also. Jake's old friends name was Haru (the great white Ninja). It was a sad day for all of us when we bid him farewell, but it was his time to go. I keep telling Jake that he is going to make some high school kid so thrilled, and I think it makes him feel a little bit better.
OUR NEW CAR is wonderful and Jake is excited about it as well. It was such a fun mothers day present. My sweet Grandma Pat passed away in March and she's the real reason we were able to buy such a great car. Bless her. I miss her. I wear her ring everyday.
We haven't thought of a clever name for our new rig yet. I think it'll be just like a baby name, when you hear it you just know and it sticks.

2008 Honda CR-V (It's not really New, just new to us!)

My Big Brother Tied the Knot

We road tripped down to Logan, UT --which is where I lived my freshman year of college-- I got to show Jake and Brod around Utah State's campus, which is insanely gorgeous, if you've never been there yourself... you should check her out. We got to visit some friends and then see my brother get sealed to his beautiful wife. He had his reception in Boise and it all turned out so cute and I could not be more thrilled for them!

The Time Finally Came

I broke. It had to happen. Our crazy boy NEEDED his first official Hair cut. I've trimmed his hair myself twice before.. but eventually it had gotten to be out of control and it needed to be taken care of by a professional. We went to 2 B a Kid House in Meridian, and if you are looking for a kid friendly Barber shop PLEASE GO! It's so cute. We fed Brody cookies while a sweet lady quickly snip snipped his hair. I got some hair in a baggy and a certificate which I will forever cherish! I had an attachment to that hair. I Loved it. But it was starting to bug Brody and get in his little eyes so it was time to go. And I'm doing okay though, because he's still the cutest little man I have ever seen! Even with short hair.

A little unsure at first

AFTER-- So handsome

Jake's 23rd Birthday

Jake is still working his awful night shift schedule, so His birthday was spent at work unfortunately. BUT, Brod and I drug him out of Bed at about 11 and had him open presents and go to the park with us for a bit where we sipped on Henry Weinhard's root-beer and enjoyed the first gorgeous day. It was fun. & Brody looks incredibly cute in a birthday hat :) As does Jake. These boys are my world.
